Salvatore Alessi, 1974 | Figurative painter



Salvatore Alessi was born in Sicily. After the Art school, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo, specializing in scenography. Then he started working as a scenographer: he made theatrical sets for the Politeama Theatre of Palermo, and the Massimo of Catania. At the same time pursuing his passion for painting and also deals with film. He starts working as an assistant designer for several films.

Chien Chung-Wei 簡忠威, 1968 | Romantic Cityscape painter



Chien Chung-Wei 簡忠威aimed to be a painter at age 10. He earned the master degree in Fine Arts, National Taiwan Normal University and was selected as one of the 30 painters in One Hundred Years of Watercolor in Taiwan in 2009. In 2010, he set up the world’s first live demonstration teaching system in Chung-Wei Chien’s Art Studio for teaching watercolor. In 2014, he was selected in the 147th AWS Annual International Exhibition and the 94th NWS Annual International Exhibition; which made him the first Taiwanese painter get selected in the AWS and NWS annual exhibition. In addition, he was also accepted as the signature member in NWS in the same year.

Arthur Braginsky, 1965 | Abstract | Figurative painter

Arthur Braginsky is an award-winning artist based in Hungary whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in France, Austria, Russia, Belgium.
In 1982 graduated from Mukachevo art school.
Later studied in Lviv I.
Fedorov polygraphic Institute.
Since 1987 to 1989 has been working as a lights artist in regional philharmonic (Uzhgorod), later – in Russian dramatic theater as a decorator (properties artist).
Since 1994 till now he takes part in international planners in Hungary and in Ukraine.

Thierry Duval, 1957 | Watercolor Paris painting


Thierry Duval was born in Paris, France. His watercolors are characterized by a strong light and precision in drawing, being almost or hyperrealist in the results mainly in his Paris watercolors. By using glazing technique he works in several steps up to get the final, very realistic result. As was said, light is strong in almost all his artworks.

Edward Robert Hughes | Pre-Raphaelite painter


Edward Robert Hughes RWS (5 November 1851 - 23 April 1914) was an British painter who worked prominently in watercolours. He was influenced by his uncle, and eminent Pre-Raphaelite, Arthur Hughes.
Having settled on his career choice, Edward Hughes attended Heatherley's in London to prepare himself for the chance of auditioning for the Royal Academy School. Hughes became a student at the Royal Academy School in 1868. While Pre-Raphaelitism played an influential part in shaping Hughes work, Aestheticism is also seen in his paintings.

William Merritt Chase | Impressionist painter

Born in Indiana, William Merritt Chase (1849-1916) showed artistic talent as a young boy.
His family arranged for him to begin formal training in art at the age of eighteen with a local portrait painter in Indianapolis.
In 1869 Chase went to New York, where for two years he was a student at the National Academy of Design.

Ippolito Caffi | The ruins of the Colosseum in Rom


Ippolito Caffi (1809-1866) was an Italian visionary landscape painter of the 19th century.
Compared to Canaletto for his undoubted perspective skills, Ippolito Caffi actually 'exceeds' the great eighteenth-century master bringing the genre of landscape painting on to a contemporary level thanks to his ability to represent the air in painting and a thorough study on the effects of light.

Hans Zatzka | Water Lilies

Austrian painter with an academic style, Hans Zatzka (1859-1945) is also known under the pseudonyms of Zabateri, P.Ronsard, Bernard Zatzka and Joseph Bernard.
He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna from 1877 to 1882, where he took lessons with Christian Griepenkerl, Carl Wurzinger and Carl Von Blaas.
In 1880, the twenty years old painter received his first reward, the Goldene Füger-Medaillen.
