Matthew Cusick, 1970 ~ Paints with Maps

Matthew Cusick, American painter, was born in New York City and graduated from The Cooper Union with a BFA in 1993. His work has been exhibited internationally since 1996, including New York City gallery shows at Andrew Kreps, Kent, and Pavel Zoubok. Cusick was the recipient of a NYFA painting fellowship in 2006 and The Bemis Center for Contemporary Art residency fellowship in 2008. He has been a visiting artist and lecturer at The Cooper Union and at University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His work is held in numerous public and private collections including the San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art and the Progressive Art Collection.

Leo Stans, 1953 ~ Evening Falls

Leo Stans 1953, American painter, was born and raised in Chaska, Minnesota. 'I am a professional artist who has been creating art full-time for over thirty years. I specialize in wildlife, landscapes, cityscapes, still life and humor, using techniques of traditional fine art. In 1991 I was commissioned to paint “The National Park Series”, which was sold as framed prints. In 2002, seeking fresh artistic direction, I began to paint landscapes of the Southwest and historical street scenes situated in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Brent Heighton, Canadian painter, has been a professional artist for over 32 years. Juan Soler, 1951 | Parisian Street Scenes

Spanish painter Juan Alberto Soler Miret moved to Madrid very young and started in Art by himself.
As a result of his visits to the Museo del Prado he showed special interest in the work of Dutch and Flemish painters such as Vermeer, Holbein and Dürer, from which it attracts not only the subject, but his mastery of technique and design.
He was also interested in artists as diverse as Botticelli, Salvador Dalì or Ingres, which will undoubtedly mark his later work.

Joseph Edward Southall | Arts and Craft Movement

Joseph Edward Southall (1861-1944) was an British painter associated with the Arts and Crafts movement.
A leading figure in the nineteenth and early twentieth-century revival of painting in tempera, Southall was the leader of the Birmingham Group of Artist-Craftsmen, one of the last outposts of Romanticism in the visual arts, and an important link between the later Pre-Raphaelites and the turn of the century Slade Symbolists.

Jim Hansel, 1960 | Wildlife / Landscape painter


Jim Hansel was born in Chaska, MN. and began painting at the age of 15. He developed his artistic skills while attending the University of Minnesota, where he graduated with a B.F.A. degree in commercial art in 1985.
In 1989, Hansel was a featured artist in the Courage Card Collection.
He was also a semi-finalist in the Minnesota Deer Hunter's Assn. print competition, several times, a finalist in the Colorado Duck Stamp Competition.

Casey Baugh, 1984 ~ Figurative painter

Born in 1984 in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, Baugh’s earliest art instruction came around the age of four from his father and aunt who were artists by hobby. By the age of 13, Baugh was producing and selling work professionally. At age 14, he won his first regional competition and at age 17, he had won his first national competition. In the spring of 2004, he conducted his first workshop at the Village Arts of Putney in Vermont. In November of 2008 Baugh's painting titled "Erubescent" was featured on the cover of American Art Collector Magazine along with a powerful 4-page artist profile in the issue. Since then Baugh has made two television appearances and won numerous awards including the cover competition for American Artists Drawing Magazine. At only 26 years of age, Casey Baugh has established himself as a major name in the ever growing "Bridge Art" movement of artists. This innovative group of painters challenge the boundaries of representational art with their unique fusion of traditional painting techniques and contemporary approach and perspectives. His works have been exhibited in galleries world wide in both solo and group shows with Wendt Gallery.
