Franco Gentilini (1909-1981)

Italian painter Franco Gentilini was born in 1909 in Faenza (RA), Italy. Worked as a ceramist in Faenza and collaborated with Giovanni Romagnoli and Giorgio Morandi in Bologna.

He took part in numerous editions of the Venice Biennale, beginning with the acceptance of his work for the 17th Esposizione Internazionale d’Arte della Città of Venice in 1930, when he also visited Paris.

Fernando Amorsolo | Pittore di genere

Fernando Amorsolo y Cueto, semplicemente noto come Fernando Amorsolo (Manila, 30 maggio 1892 - Manila, 24 aprile 1972) è stato un pittore Filippino, considerato uno dei protagonisti assoluti dello scenario artistico filippino del XX secolo.

Tra i pionieri della pittura nel Paese, assieme a Juan Luna e Fernando Zóbel, Amorsolo fu ritrattista e pittore di paesaggi rurali filippini, particolarmente noto per il suo tocco “artigianale” e la maestria nell'uso della luce e dell'ombra.

Nativo del quartiere di Paco, terminò i propri studi presso il Liceo de Manila Art School nel 1909.

Paul Signac | Neo-impressionist painter

French painter Paul Signac (1863-1935) was born in Paris.

He followed a course of training in architecture before deciding at the age of 18 to pursue a career as a painter.

He sailed around the coasts of Europe, painting the landscapes he encountered.

He also painted scenes of cities in France in his later years.

Clarence Holbrook Carter (1904-2000)

Clarence Holbrook Carter born in Portsmouth, Ohio, was an American painter.

Carter's work is found in the collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art; the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington D.C.; the James A. Dopo le proteste degli utenti che riguardavano il Timeline/Diario per i profili, introdotto lo scorso dicembre, Facebook sta provvedendo di tornare alle origini, testando un nuovo look per il Timeline/Diario, molto assomigliante al precedente, riportando la Timeline/Diario ad una sola colonna. Infatti, sullo stesso Facebook, la pagina "Odio la Timeline di Facebook e voglio cambiarla subito" raccolse migliaia di commenti ed altretanto "mi piace".
La notizia che Facebook starebbe testando un nuovo look per i profili degli utenti è stata annunciata dal blog statunitense Mashable.com.
