Raimundo de Madrazo y Garreta | Genre painter

Born in Rome on 24 July 1841 and christened at the church of San Carlino alle Quattro Fontane, Raimundo de Madrazo y Garreta (24 July 1841 - 15 September 1920) was a pupil of his father Federico and his grandfather José de Madrazo.
He also studied at the San Fernando Academy under Carlos Luis Ribera and Carlos de Haes, among others.
In 1862 he took up residence in Paris, where he was a pupil of the painter Léon Coignet.

Ilya Glazunov Илья Глазунов (10 June 1930 - 9 July 2017) was a Russian artist from Saint Petersburg.
He was the founder of the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Moscow - Российская академия живописи, ваяния и зодчества- where he also served as a rector up until his death. He held the title of People's Artist of Russia.

Al Hogue was born in the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia Canada, where he developed a profound appreciation for nature.
In his teens his family moved to Hawaii and his love of the outdoors exploded. Hawaii had a marvelous effect on his imagination.

Jan Sluyters | Post-Impressionist painter

Johannes Carolus Bernardus (Jan) Sluijters, or Sluyters (17 December 1881 in 's-Hertogenbosch - 8 May 1957 in Amsterdam) was a Dutch painter and co-founder of the Moderne Kunstkring.
So when he won the prestigious Prix de Rome in 1904, and the grant that came with it, he took off to the French capital as soon as he could.
Sluijters (in English often spelled "Sluyters") was a leading pioneer of various post-impressionist movements in the Netherlands.
