Adebanji Alade ROI, 1972 | Figurative / Cityscape painter


Adebanji Alade - ROI (Member of The Royal Institute Of Oil Painters) was born in Nigeria, and trained at Yaba College of Technology (a renowned art college in Nigeria). He extended his studies at Heatherly’s School of Fine Art in Chelsea in the UK.
Adebanji is a professional artist working in Chelsea, London. He is primarily a figurative and portrait artist with a fascination for painting and sketching people and draws inspiration from the people he sees travelling on public transport.  Adebanji, along with five other acrylic painters, was one of the first to try our new Artists’ Acrylic colours.

Chidi Okoye, 1961 | Abstract painter / sculptor

Nigerian born painter Chidi A. Okoye graduated with a distinction in sculpture from the Institute of Management and Technology in Enugu, Nigeria, in 1988.
For the next six years he taught sculpture and drawing at Federal Polytechnic Oko Anambra State Nigeria. During this period, he created an outstanding collection, not only sculpting, but painting and writing as well.
In Nigeria, He had his national solo exhibition “Textures of Life” and launching of his book “Lamentation” at national museum Lagos in 1993 sponsored by Mobil Producing Nigeria.

Abiodun Olaku, 1958 | Waterscape/Cityscape painter


Born in Lagos in Lagos, Nigeria, Abiodun Olaku has his roots in Abeokuta, Ogun state. In his third decade of avid, dedicated and progressive art practice since graduating from the prestigious Yaba College of Technology, Lagos as a painter in 1981, under the supervision and guidance of Prof. Yusuf Grillo, Kolade Oshinowo and late Dr. Isiaka Osunde. Abiodun Olaku has crystallized into one of the ‘exclusive’ masters of his generation.

Ibe Onyeka, 1971 | Abstract painter

Nigerian-born American painter Ibe Onyeka has achieved international recognition for his dramatic approach to painting.
Described as one of the most exciting young painters to emerge from Sub-Saharan Africa since the 1990s, he was awardedThe Best SOLO Artist of the Year 2006” at the International Artexpo New York.
Ibe looks for inspiration in “natural and humanistic traditions of contemporary realism and abstraction”.
