Her best known image is the Semillon label for the Semillon wine in the Peter Lehmann Wines "Art Series" range.

Georgi Kolarov was born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

At a very young age, he discovered that he was drawn to painting and knew he wanted to become an artist.

The idea of doing anything else seemed unappealing to him.

He saw painting as an intuitive and sensorial process, balancing pictorial elements to reveal the poetry of color and form in the everyday objects around him.

Recognizing Georgi’s talent, his parents sent him to the Professional School of Stage Arts in Plovdia when he was still very young.

Nikolo Balkanski began painting at very early age and graduated from the Medium Special Arts School in Sofia, Bulgaria, when he was 18.

At just 21, he held his first solo exhibition, “Time and People“, featuring portraits of some of the country's leading actors, poets and politicians, organized by his father, who is attorney, writer and poet.

This unique show garnered a lot of attention for the young artist, and he soon continued his studies at the art academy in Sofia, specializing in paintings.

After moving to Finland with his parents, he studied at the University of Helsinki.

Nikolay Ninov is a Bulgarian artist, born in 1973. He graduated from SSHU for PI. Tryavna, and later VTU "St. st. Cyril and Methodius", specialty Sculpture by prof. Konstantin Denev and prof. Velichko Minekov.

Since 2009 he is the Associate professor at Varna Free University in Sculpture. Winner of prizes for contemporary arts, including the award for Young Artist from the National Biennial of Small Forms, Pleven (2004).

He has participated in numerous national and international festivals and symposiums for contemporary arts and sculpture.

Lyubena Fox / Любена Фокс, 1994 | Classical painter

Bulgarian painter Lyubena Fox / Любена Фокс is born in Sofia. In 2013 she graduates from the Bulgarian National School of Fine Arts, specializing in Illustration.

The same year she starts her studies with John M.Angel, moving to Florence, Italy and in 2016 graduates from the Angel Academy Florence.

Right after, she has a study session with Alessandro Dari.

Jules Pascin (1885-1930) | Expressionist painter

Bulgarian🎨-born painter Jules Pascin, original name Julius Pincas, renowned for his delicate draftsmanship and sensitive studies of women.

Born of Italian Serbian and Spanish Jewish parents, Pascin was educated in Vienna before he moved to Munich, Germany, where he attended art school in 1903.

Beginning in 1904, his drawings were regularly published in satiric journals such as the Lustige Blätter and Simplicissimus. At the request of his family, who disapproved of his bohemian lifestyle, he changed his name to Pascin in 1905.

Pavel Mitkov, 1977 | Impressionist /Abstract painter

The early impetus of Bulgarian traditions in the arts was cut short by the Ottoman occupation in the 14th century, and many early masterpieces were destroyed.

Native artistic life emerged again in Bulgaria during the national revival in the 19th century.

Among the most influential works were the secular and realist paintings of Zahari Zograph in the first half of the century and Hristo Tsokev in the second half.

At the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century, Bulgarian painters such as Anton Mitov and the Czech-born Ivan Mrkvichka produced memorable works, many of them depicting the daily life of the Bulgarian people.

At age thirteen, his promising talent in drawing, painting, and sculpting earned him one of only thirty available spots to attend the renowned Secondary Art School of Applied Arts in Tryavna, Bulgaria. Ignat’s five years there established the foundation for his academic art training.

Following graduation in 1996, Ignat attended St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo, where he studied under the demanding atelier approach to fine art. In 1997, at the age of nineteen, Ignat financed his move to the United States using proceeds from the sale of his art. He is now a United States citizen residing in California.

In 1984 graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Sofia, and from 1990-1995 he studied at the Bulgarian University of Fine Arts. Since 1996 has taught at the University of Architecture.

The first solo exhibition was held in 1994 then numerous exhibitions in Italy, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Germany, USA, Czech Republic.
