Robert Völcker | Romantic painter

Robert Völcker Robert Volcker (1854-1924) was a German visual artist who was born in Dohna, near Pirna, in Saxony.

He learned under Ferdinand Pauwels (Belgian history painter, 1830-1904) at the Dresden Academy.

He then moved to Munich, where he died in 1924.

A strong focus on nature is visible in his works, which are often depictions of people and of women and children in particular.

Scenes of his hand contain a romantic atmosphere and often seem an ideal of reality.

Robert Völcker (1854-1924) è stato un pittore Tedesco nato a Dohna, vicino a Pirna, in Sassonia.

Ha studiato sotto Ferdinand Pauwels (1830-1904) presso l'Accademia di Dresda.

Si trasferì poi a Monaco, dove morì nel 1924.

Nelle sue opere è visibile una forte attenzione alla natura, che spesso sono raffigurazioni di persone ed in particolare, di donne e bambini.
