Atanas Matsoureff, 1975 | Watercolor painter

Atanas Matsoureff was born in the town of Bansko, Bulgaria.
He graduated from a technical school with a major in "Woodcarving".
Although he does not have an Art degree, he is one of the greatest talents in watercolor in the world.
His works are present in all modern watercolor catalogs.



He has won prestigious awards in Bulgaria and abroad.
Atanas has illustrated 2 books published in Canada, and his paintings are in the possession of private collections and galleries in Bulgaria, Spain, Turkey, Great Britain, Greece, the Netherlands, Belgium, Canada, Norway, France, Hungary, Italy, China, Russia, Germany and USA.

He leads master classes in Europe, China and Russia.
He has more than ten solo performances and numerous participations in group exhibitions around the world and in our country, some of which: "Towards 20", Grita Gallery, Sofia (2010), "The Works", Tazza Gallery, New York, USA (2012), 3rd International Biennial of Watercolor, Saint Cyr Sur Mer, France (2013), the International Traveling Exhibition of Contemporary Watercolorists Re - Interpretation in China (2015) and others.
He lives and works in Sofia.












Atanas Matsoureff è nato nel 1975 nella città di Bansko, in Bulgaria.
Si è diplomato in una scuola tecnica con specializzazione in "Scultura in legno".
Sebbene non abbia una laurea in arte, è uno dei più grandi talenti dell'acquerello al mondo.


Le sue opere sono presenti in tutti i cataloghi di acquerelli moderni.
Ha vinto premi prestigiosi in Bulgaria ed all'estero.
Atanas ha illustrato 2 libri pubblicati in Canada, ed i suoi dipinti sono in possesso di collezioni private e gallerie in Bulgaria, Spagna, Turchia, Gran Bretagna, Grecia, Paesi Bassi, Belgio, Canada, Norvegia, Francia, Ungheria, Italia, Cina, Russia, Germania e Stati Uniti.


Tiene masterclass in Europa, Cina e Russia.
Ha all'attivo più di dieci performance personali e numerose partecipazioni a mostre collettive in giro per il mondo, alcune delle quali: “Towards 20”, Grita Gallery, Sofia (2010), “The Works”, Tazza Gallery, New York, USA (2012), 3a Biennale Internazionale dell'Acquerello, Saint Cyr Sur Mer, Francia (2013), la Mostra Internazionale Itinerante di Acquarellisti Contemporanei Re - Interpretazione in Cina (2015) ed altri.
Vive e lavora a Sofia.
