Artyom Tolstuhin, 1981

Ukrainian artist Артем Толстухін / Artyom Tolstuhin studied at the Mykola Samokysha Crimean Art College, founded in 1922, and he graduated from the Kharkov Academy of Design and Arts, Restoration Department in 2011.

Tolstukhin was elected to the All-Ukrainian Young Artists Union in 2008.

Tolstuhin has emerged as one of the leaders of the Union as well as of the Degrazh, the association of young Kharkov artists.

Tolstuhin’s work shows a great respect for the stylistic considerations of the Secessionists.

While some of his portraits and sunflowers seem to borrow from the decorative example of Gustav Klimt, Tolstukhin’s interest goes deeper, connecting with the Secessionist commitment to the symbolic power of organic structures and forms derived from close observation of the natural world.

Tolstukhin è stato eletto nell'Unione dei giovani artisti Ucraini nel 2008.

Tolstuhin è emerso come uno dei leader dell'Unione e del Degrazh, l'associazione dei giovani artisti di Kharkov.

Il lavoro di Tolstuhin mostra un grande rispetto per le considerazioni stilistiche dei Secessionisti.
