Greg Beecham has been painting full time since 1978.

He has specialized in wildlife art.

Greg’s vision is to "sculpt with paint" - that is to paint in such a way that there is not only the illusion of dimension, but genuine depth to the paint itself.

He believes that if he can speak with paint more than detail, that the net result will be a life expressing realism.

Greg lives high in the Rockies in Dubois, WY with his wife, Lu.

They enjoy riding their horses, hunting, cowboying, and watching the wildlife.

As a Christian, Beecham honors the sanctity of life and the beauty of nature.

His motto is "Do all things as unto the Lord, and get so good you can’t be ignored".

Beecham has won many awards for his fluid unions of animal and environment, including Best of Show, People’s Choice and Artist’s Choice awards at the C.M. Russell Auction; Best of Show, People’s Choice and Featured Artist honours at the Pacific Rim Wildlife Art Show, and the Wildlife Art News Award at the Society of Animal Artist’s Art Exhibition.

He was just asked to be special guest artist at the ‘99 Southeastern Wildlife Exposition.

In addition, Beecham’s artwork has been exhibited in the Museum of Natural History in Beijing, China and is in the permanent collection of the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum and the Clymer Museum in Ellensburg, Washington.

Figlio dell'artista Tom Beecham, Greg è cresciuto cacciando, pescando, osservando la natura ed imparando a disegnare, sempre consapevole del desiderio di seguire le orme di suo padre.

Ricorda di essere rimasto per ore con suo padre, a studiare i movimenti dei cervi dalla coda bianca nei boschi dietro casa.

Il suo sogno di studiare a tempo pieno con suo padre dovette essere posticipato fino a quando Greg non avesse completato un servizio nella Marina degli Stati Uniti.

Si arruolò come membro del corpo ospedaliero e prestò servizio sul cacciatorpediniere missilistico guidato USS John S. McCain, che salpò verso casa dal Vietnam appena sei giorni dopo che Beecham si era presentato in servizio.

Alla fine, nel 1978, dopo alcuni anni al Southern Oregon State College, padre e figlio si dedicarono allo sviluppo della carriera artistica di Greg.

In una mostra d'arte nel 1985, Beecham fu ulteriormente ispirato da Bob Kuhn, che mi diede il "permesso", come dice Greg, di giocare con la pittura.

Da allora, Beecham ha vinto numerosi premi per la sua fluida unione tra animale e ambiente, tra cui Best of Show, People's Choice e Artist's Choice al C.M.
