Kyle Stuckey, 1987 | Romantic figurative painter

Kyle Stuckey🎨 is an American painter🎨, known for his work in the Impressionistic Realism style.

Stuckey began studying art during his high school years by private instruction through Lori Woodward Simons and various workshops, later becoming a member of the Putney Painters where he was able to continue to hone his skills in the presence of some of the greatest artists today, including Richard Schmid🎨 and Nancy Guzik🎨.

His work is strongly influenced by his study of historical artists including: John William Waterhouse🎨, William Bouguereau🎨, John Singer Sargent🎨, Anders Zorn🎨 and Lawrence Alma-Tadema🎨.  Over the years, he has developed and refined his style, working with oil as an Impressionistic Realism artist.

He would describe his style this way:

“I paint in the way I see my subject matter, trying to mimic the way the human eye sees. Not everything is in focus at one time. Regardless of what my subject matter may be, in my paintings I focus on what I find inspiring in that subject. This way the viewer can see my vision and perhaps share in that experience. At the same time, I want my paintings to have visual variety in detail and texture by using the full potential of the oils with the variations of texture and transparency”.

He enjoys painting an array of subject matter whether it be landscape, still life, or figurative.

His goal is to accomplish an accurate rendering of the subject’s beauty through form, light, and color.

The last few years Kyle has spent his time traveling around the world, painting as he goes. Originally from New Hampshire, he has spent nearly two years in Nevada.

He has also spent some time in Vietnam, Japan, Mexico, Nicaragua, lived eight months in Costa Rica and two months in Rome traveling throughout Italy.

Now he is living in Charleston, SC, where he continues to paint until the next trip abroad.

“Of course, I love to see new things and experience new cultures, but it may be even more exciting to be able to share those experiences with my clients and fans though my art”.

Kyle Stuckey ha iniziato a studiare arte durante gli anni del liceo con delle lezioni private attraverso Lori Woodward Simons e vari laboratori, diventando in seguito membro dei Pittori di Putney, dove è stato in grado di continuare ad affinare le sue abilità in presenza di alcuni dei i più grandi artisti contemporanei, tra cui Richard Schmid🎨 e Nancy Guzik🎨.

Descriverebbe il suo stile in questo modo:

"Dipingo nel modo in cui vedo i miei soggetti, cercando di imitare il modo in cui l'occhio umano vede. Non tutto è a fuoco contemporaneamente. Indipendentemente da ciò che può essere il mio soggetto, nei miei dipinti mi concentro su ciò che trovo stimolante in quel soggetto. In questo modo lo spettatore può vedere la mia visione e forse condividere questa esperienza. Allo stesso tempo, voglio che i miei dipinti abbiano una varietà visiva nei dettagli e nella trama, sfruttando il pieno potenziale degli oli con le variazioni di consistenza e trasparenza".

Si diverte a dipingere una serie di argomenti, che si tratti di paesaggio, natura morta o figurativo. Il suo obiettivo è realizzare una resa accurata della bellezza del soggetto attraverso la forma, la luce e il colore.

Negli ultimi anni Kyle ha trascorso il suo tempo viaggiando per il mondo, dipingendo mentre cammina.

Originario del New Hampshire, ha trascorso quasi due anni in Nevada.

Ha trascorso anche qualche tempo in Vietnam, Giappone, Messico, Nicaragua, ha vissuto otto mesi in Costa Rica e due mesi a Roma viaggiando in tutta Italia.

Ora vive a Charleston, Carolina del Sud, dove continua a dipingere fino al prossimo viaggio all'estero.
