Margot Homan was born in the Netherlands and educated at the Tilburg Academy of Fine Arts. After a few years of teaching at the Markendaal College of Social Studies, she decided to follow her artistic vocation full time. She exhibits regularly at prominent art fairs, such as the European Fine Art Fair Maastricht and PAN Amsterdam, and her work is represented in public and private collections throughout the world. A statement
Of course an artistic statement can never be final, but it will always be more like a positioning towards one’s ideals. (Looking over the quiet panorama of the works I made during my career I can see that clearly: always the same and simultaneously always different.)
For me Art in itself is an inexhaustible fountain of man-made beauty, as much a testament of the past as it is a living resource of eternal ideas today. 
In this humanistic sense all my creative work -in style and theme - tends towards the conditions of harmony and balance. And when in my mind an artistic concept ripens, it grows and grows intuitively into a crystal-clear and transparent fact: L’Immagine del Cuore (The Image of the Heart").
But then, materializing this Image, everything, from its contours to its smallest details, must breathe the same clarity in an inspired relation to each part of the harmonious whole.
For that I seek for an expression that transcends the limits of anatomy, and stretching this physical reality into this my artistic concept, which is not linked to a specific individual (a model) but to "man" in a universal sense. So are the quotidian problems of the World not resolved in my sculptures, but I try to balance them, and I aspire to express the human struggle on one hand and the wisdom of acceptance and inner consolation on the other.

Margot Homan è nata a Oss (Olanda), diplomata presso l'Accademia d'Arte di Tilburg (Paesi Bassi), dove gli è stato vietato di lavorare in uno stile figurativo. Subito dopo la laurea ha seguito la sua vocazione artistica, e ha iniziato a sviluppare il proprio stile figurativo, mentre part-time di insegnamento presso l'Accademia Markendaal (Breda).
Dal 1985, dedicarsi completamente alla scultura.
Incomincia ad esporre nel 1985 presso la Galerie Hüstege di 's-Hertogenosch e presenta una prima personale presso la Katholieke Universiteit Brabant di Tilburg nel 1986.
Da allora numerose sono le sue presenze in mostre sia collettive che personali, tra cui le più significative sono:

Le sue opere sono presenti in molte collezioni pubbliche e private in Olanda e altri paesi europei, tra le quali si ricordano la I.N.G.; V. o Ende e la comunità di Amsterdam.
Viene a Pietrasanta dal 1986 e realizza le proprie opere presso i Laboratori Ferdinando Palla, Franco Cervietti, Enzo Pasquini, Giancarlo Buratti, Giuseppe Giannoni e le Fonderie Belfiore, Del Chiaro, L'Arte, Da Prato, Mariani.
Tra le mostre in loco ha preso parte a:
