Roberto Weigand is an award-winning illustrator of children's books and magazine cover designer in Brazil.
Roberto Weigand studied Architecture in São Paulo’s University and in 1991 he started working as an Illustrator for newspapers, magazines and children’s books.
From 1999 he worked as Illustrator and Infographist for Veja magazine, from 2001 he became responsible for Istoé magazine covers and from 2002 he started to write for Publish magazine.



As illustrator he won the following prizes in Brazil: Ofélia Fontes Award (1998), Jabuti Award (1999) for Children Illustration.
For image edition he won two Esso Award (2000 and 2002) for magazine Graphic Creation.
He works essentially with the computer, by using different styles and techniques to illustrate given his experience with graphic design and photomanipulation.

Roberto Weigand è nato in Brasile. Ha studiato Architettura all'Università di San Paolo e nel 1991 ha iniziato a lavorare come illustratore per giornali, riviste e libri per bambini.
Dal 1999 lavora come illustratore e Infografista per la rivista Veja, dal 2001 diventa responsabile delle copertine della rivista Istoé e dal 2002 inizia a scrivere per la rivista Publish.
Come illustratore ha vinto i seguenti premi in Brasile: Ofélia Fontes Award (1998), Jabuti Award (1999) per Children Illustration.
Per l'edizione immagine ha vinto due Esso Award (2000 e 2002) per la rivista Graphic Creation.
Lavora essenzialmente con il computer, utilizzando diversi stili e tecniche per illustrare data la sua esperienza con la progettazione grafica e la fotomanipolazione.
Oggi lavora su commissione di editori di libri e vende la sua arte su internet.
