Chinese painter🎨 Liu Yi 柳毅, was born in Shanghai.
He was a Fine Arts graduate from the Hua Dong University for Education.
He did his postgraduate study of watercolor painting at the China College of Fine Arts. He lectures at university for painting and design.
He is a member of the Chinese Artists Association and is also a member of the Watercolor Painting Artists Association.
He is the retired Deputy President of the Shanghai Watercolor Painting Society, and is currently the Deputy Principal of the Shanghai Arts and Technical College.
He is a very accomplished watercolor painter in China. His works have been very well regarded in China and overseas. His painting have won him many distinguished awards in China.
In 2004, he was awarded🎨 the Charles Comfort Medal of Canada for his outstanding painting “Dancing”.
“Swan Scenario” is the main theme of my ballerina series. Its subjects are the young girls who dress in their ballet attire. My concern is to capture the mood and atmosphere of the casual and light moment of the girls. It is challenging. It was achieved through the natural combination of color and water.
Liu Yi 柳毅 è un acquerellista Cinese🎨 nato a Shanghai, Cina. Ha ottenuto il suo Bachelor in belle arti presso l’università di Hua Dong. Successivamente, Liu ha completato i suoi studi post-laurea alla Accademia di Belle Arti di pittura ad acquerello.
Ha lavorato come docente presso l’Università per il Disegno e pittura.
E' membro di numerose società di arte per la pittura ad acquerello in Cina e nel mondo.
Ha lavorato a Shanghai come Vice Presidente ed ora vive lì e sta attualmente lavorando come vice direttore della Shanghai Watercolor Painting Society.
Egli è uno dei più famosi artisti ad acquerello del mondo e si è guadagnato grande rispetto e riconoscimenti da critici d’arte, sia a livello nazionale che internazionale. Per Liu la cosa principale è quella di catturare la bellezza, l’atmosfera e la luce,combinando acqua e colore.
