Rolando Cubero, 1957 | Figurative painter

Cubero's career as a painter began in 1975 with a work by surrealist tendency.

Since then his paintings began to exhibit in both Costa Rica and international exhibitions in Central America.

For the 80's his work falls under the influence of Latin American magical realism and is shown in galleries and events in Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala and México.

Already in the 90's his paintings take on a greater commitment to realism without abandoning all atmosphere and magic elements of his earlier period.

By the end of the decade his works have been exhibited in Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, United States, Spain and Italy.

From the year 2000 continued to show his paintings in galleries and museums both in their home country and in Latin America, the U.S. and Europe.

La carriera di Cubero come pittore inizia nel 1975 con un'opera di tendenza surrealista.

Da allora i suoi dipinti iniziarono ad esporre sia in Costa Rica che in mostre internazionali in America Centrale.

Per gli anni '80 il suo lavoro cade sotto l'influenza del realismo magico latinoamericano ed è esposto in gallerie ed eventi in Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala e Messico.

Già negli anni '90 i suoi dipinti assumono un maggiore impegno per il realismo senza abbandonare tutte le atmosfere e gli elementi magici del suo periodo precedente.

Entro la fine del decennio le sue opere sono state esposte in Uruguay, Cile, Bolivia, Stati Uniti, Spagna ed Italia.

Dall'anno 2000 ha continuato ad esporre i suoi dipinti in gallerie e musei sia nel loro paese d'origine che in America Latina, Stati Uniti ed Europa.
